Gracie's stats at her 2 month visit @ 2-1/2 months (1.13.09): 12 pounds 9.4 pounds (50-75%) & 22 3/4 inches (25-50%).

Gracie's stats at her 4 month visit @ 5 months (3.31.09): 16 pounds 9.8 ounces (75-90%) & 24 6/8 inches (25-50%).

Gracie's stats at her 6 month visit @ 7 months  (5.28.09): 19 pounds 2.5 ounces (75-90%) & 25-3/4 inches (50%).

Sara @ one month (10.30.78): 8 pounds 12 ounces & 21-1/2 inches.

Sara @ 8 weeks (12.1.78): 11 pounds 8 ounces & 23-1/2 inches.

Sara @ 3-1/2 months (1.11.79): 13 pounds 4 ounces and 24 inches.

Babywise Bootcamp.

We are engaged in a little Babywise  boot-camp at our house. Gracie's sleeping has gotten pretty bad and we have to do something. So, we are cracking down on her. It is not easy. Listening to her cry is just about the wost thing ever. I have been following the eat-play-sleep cycle from Babywise , but not much else. I have been putting her to sleep, while she listens to the vacuum cleaner or the stove fan. She is so used to napping on me that she won't sleep in her bed during the day. So, I end up holding her for nap-time so that she will actually take a nap. She does okay in her bed at night, most of the time. In the past week she has been up twice for 2-hour stretches in the middle of the night. As much as I love her, this isn't Mommy's favorite time to hang out with Gracie. It has become quite a struggle to get her to go to sleep and stay asleep. We are experiencing too many evenings of Gracie crying because she is up too late and can't fall asleep. Last nig...

Gracie Arrives.

I have been meaning to get into the habit of posting. I think about it every day. Then, the day gets away from me. But, I know there is so much that I am going to want to remember so I am going to try really hard to get something posted every week-day. May as well set the bar high, right? =) So, I thought I would start with a recap of Gracie's birth. Wed Oct 15th: We have our 39 week doctor appt. We are scheduled for an ultrasound before the dr visit. The ultrasound shows that the baby is 8 pounds 14 ounces. Mommy is a little stunned and has a hard time getting up and leaving the office. We see the dr and he explains that the baby could be one pound bigger or one pound larger than the weight the ultrasound showed. Either way we are looking at an 8-10 pound baby. Mommy is still in shock. The dr checks me and determines that nothing is really happening and things are not favorable to induce the baby. We can wait and see if I go into labor or we can schedule a c-section. If we get...
