Chick-fil-A.





We had a ton of fun at Chick-fil-A this evening. We met up with Auntie, Aunt Nette and Aunt Lisa. (Aunt Nette's church was having a fundraiser night.) Gracie LOVED the cow and Allie was terrified. She kept saying "no touch me!" and patting her chest. Aunt Nette had to hug her every time the cow walked near our table. Gracie was really excited and she wanted to have her picture taken with the cow. (She is now asking constantly when the cow is going to be there again.) Both girls enjoyed playing in the play area after we ate. Allie climbed up and went down the slide over and over--this was the first time she really played. It was a great evening!

Belly Button.

Gracie lost her umbilical cord today! It was hanging on by a thread late last night when I changed her diaper but I couldn't get it off. This morning, I tugged it a teensy bit and it came right off.  It was so gross. I am so glad that thing is gone. In other Gracie news, she decided to stay awake for 3 hours last night. Yep. Until 12:30am. She was just staring at me. I was grateful she wasn't crying, but I couldn't understand why she was awake. She has really spoiled us with her sleeping. She sleeps a lot. And, it usually doesn't take much to get her to sleep. We are testing Daddy's theory that she napped too much yesterday and keeping her awake more today. And with that, I need to wake up baby.

Sunday.

This is a cute picture, of a cute girl, who really needs a bath. This girl hates her bath so I really have to gear up for it. Daddy said not to give her a bath while he is at work--something about Gracie needing extra emotional support... =P She will be getting a bath when Daddy gets home from work. Absolutely. What else had Gracie been up to? She is starting to recognize us. She will occasionally look up at me and smile. Other times she looks at me like "who are you again?". Yeah. She is starting to "talk" a little bit. She can get her fist up to her mouth and suck on her hand. Sometimes. She will lay on the floor on her blanket for short periods of time. She hung out in her swing for a little while this morning. She loves to be in the sling . Unfortunately, she has been fighting some tummy issues. She was getting more formula and I think it was upsetting her tummy. Big time. So, we are back to just nursing. That has helped some but she still get "the gases...

Beach Friday.

Gracie has been asking to go to the beach lately and today was the day. We packed up our beach toys, blanket and sunscreen and headed to check out Imperial Beach. We found a great (free) parking space. We loaded the stuff and the girlies into the double jogger and hit the beach. We played for about an hour and they girlies had so much fun. Gracie even wanted to walk down to the water and put her feet in!--that water was COLD! We can't wait to go back SOON.
