Mother's Day 2011.

We had a wonderful weekend and a great Mother’s Day yesterday. On Saturday morning, we took the kids to the re-opening of a children’s bookstore. They had fun looking around and listening to an author read her book. After that, we went to the mall and checked out the sale at Children’s Place. We found some really cute shorts and tanks for the girlies. Gracie got a new hat and they both got a pair of new shoes and a little purse. They wore a new stripped skirt and purple butterfly shirt to church on Saturday night. They were so cute(and they matched)!

On Sunday morning, Nate made pancakes and bacon. YUM. The girls LOVE pancakes. After breakfast, Nate took some pics of me and the girlies. We were on the couch with the window open behind us—I thought that we give our dark living room some nice natural light. When I downloaded pics, there was a ton of light behind our heads. We were going to take some more later and forgot—hopefully soon.

After photos, we went to NEX for a new edger/weed eater. We also tried to find out about the warranty on our portable DVD that has quite reading DVDs. Argh. It broke in Oct right after we bought it and the store let us exchange it for a new one—thinking we should have gotten our money back at that time. We found out we have to call about the warranty—hoping they will be easy to deal with. Hmmm. We came home and put the girls down for a nap. I scrapbooked with some of my new goodies and then we just hung out for the rest of the afternoon. I gave the girls a quick bath in the sink—Gracie loves this and Allie hates it. After we put the girls to bed, Nate went and picked up Chili's for dinner. It was sooo good.

Check out how little they were last year!

Sunday.

This is a cute picture, of a cute girl, who really needs a bath. This girl hates her bath so I really have to gear up for it. Daddy said not to give her a bath while he is at work--something about Gracie needing extra emotional support... =P She will be getting a bath when Daddy gets home from work. Absolutely. What else had Gracie been up to? She is starting to recognize us. She will occasionally look up at me and smile. Other times she looks at me like "who are you again?". Yeah. She is starting to "talk" a little bit. She can get her fist up to her mouth and suck on her hand. Sometimes. She will lay on the floor on her blanket for short periods of time. She hung out in her swing for a little while this morning. She loves to be in the sling . Unfortunately, she has been fighting some tummy issues. She was getting more formula and I think it was upsetting her tummy. Big time. So, we are back to just nursing. That has helped some but she still get "the gases...

Father's Day 2010.

We had a really nice Father's Day. We gave Nate his gift on Saturday evening. It was a CD he had already picked out. We had plans to drive to Seattle on Sunday, so we gave him the CD the night before. Gracie was very helpful when it came to opening the gift. =) She loves tissue paper! Kitty likes to help, too. We gave him a photo card, too. She was being very silly on Sunday morning. Silly, silly girl. =) Sissy and Momma, getting ready to try and take a photo of all 4 of us! Our first photo of all 4 of us together. I am not sure why we didn't do this before! Gracie being silly, again. The girls are wearing matching outfits, but it is difficult to see that in the photo. It is hard to get a photo of them together since they are so small. Sissy hanging out after we got back from Seattle. We went to Seattle to meet up with Nate's brother and his family. Nate's mom was here last week and now she is spending this week with their family. It w...
