(click on collage for larger image.) A trip to the zoo, with our cousins, for a certain 3 year old who has been sleeping so well in her bed in a room with her sister.
(click collage for larger image.) It was time to put Allie in a toddler. I told Gracie when she was ready to share a room with Allie that she could pick out new bedding. Of course, Gracie declared that she was ready. We chose princess bedding and picked out a toddler bed for Allie. It took Auntie and I about 2 hours to put Allie's bed together. It was close to 10pm (a solid 2 hours past their bedtime) before we got them to bed. We were expecting Gracie to change her mind at this point but she marched in there and climbed in bed. They have been doing well ever since.
Making and taste testing brownies for the Memorial Day picnic. (click collages for larger image.) Memorial Day Picnic at our church. Gracie was IN LOVE with the inflatables. I was really surprised that she tried them. It is awesome to see her trying new things! Allie wanted nothing to do with the inflatables. We ate grilled hamburgers and homemade ice cream. Gracie cried when they took down the inflatables and it was time to go home.
(click collage for larger image.) Allie is wearing her new dress and sandals she got from Auntie for her birthday. Gracie is wearing Buzz Light-year socks and sparkly shoes. I asked her to put on socks and shoes after I dressed her. Lesson learned--next time I will get out the church socks. =)
(click on collage for a larger image.) Daddy sent a box. They were THRILLED. Daddy is THE BEST. The box contained: a stuffed kitty, a stuffed puppy and 3 Sandra Boynton books .
(click collage for larger image.) We had a great day! We went to the 9am service and then had lunch with family. The food was SO good--roast, mashed potatoes + gravy, green beans, rolls, pie. It was great! It was a beautiful day and we ate lunch outside. Later on, we had ice cream for dinner and opened presents.
