21 Months.



Gracie at 21 months:

  • loves Veggie Tales. It is the only thing she asks to watch. She also likes The Cosby Show and Super Why, but Veggie Tales is the favorite.


  • likes to have her photo taken but does not sit still. We have a lot of blurry photos of her. =)

  • loves milk, cereal (dry and with milk), cheese, cereal bars, pizza, chicken nuggets, fries, yogurt, cookies, and mashed potatoes.

  • loves books. We read before nap time and bedtime. She likes to sit in front of her bookshelf and look at her books.

  • loves stickers, crayons and paper. She does a pretty good job of only coloring on paper.


  • loves her place mat. She will often take it with her when she leaves the table.

  • loves bath time but hates getting her hair washed and/or brushed.


  • loves blocks and legos. Many times during the day we hear, "PLAY EGOS, PLAY EGOS!".

  • likes to try and sit on Sissy's swing, bouncy seat, play mat, etc.


  • does not think Kitty should sit on the rocking chair or the end tables. She shouts, "MOVE KITTY!".

  • likes to try and hold Sissy. She also likes to give Sissy toys and put jewelry on her.

  • is a good sleeper. She sleeps 12-13 hours at night and takes a 3-4 hour nap during the afternoon.

  • wears size 4 diapers.

  • has had one haircut.

  • loves shoes.


  • loves to be outside.

  • enjoys walking to the mailbox.

  • is developing a good vocabulary.

  • is getting more emotional. When she gets upset she often screams. She can be LOUD!

  • LOVES Daddy.

Gracie Arrives.

I have been meaning to get into the habit of posting. I think about it every day. Then, the day gets away from me. But, I know there is so much that I am going to want to remember so I am going to try really hard to get something posted every week-day. May as well set the bar high, right? =) So, I thought I would start with a recap of Gracie's birth. Wed Oct 15th: We have our 39 week doctor appt. We are scheduled for an ultrasound before the dr visit. The ultrasound shows that the baby is 8 pounds 14 ounces. Mommy is a little stunned and has a hard time getting up and leaving the office. We see the dr and he explains that the baby could be one pound bigger or one pound larger than the weight the ultrasound showed. Either way we are looking at an 8-10 pound baby. Mommy is still in shock. The dr checks me and determines that nothing is really happening and things are not favorable to induce the baby. We can wait and see if I go into labor or we can schedule a c-section. If we get
